DATA DELETION

Your data. Your choice.

NewLeaves uses an anonymous app account for online features, with optional Sign in with Apple. You can request deletion directly in the app.

Delete your account in NewLeaves

1. Open NewLeaves and go to Settings.
2. Choose “Delete account”.
3. Read the confirmation and choose “Delete”. Keep an internet connection until it finishes.

This removes your account and its linked analytics, push token, AI usage records, and any stored backup from our active database. After server deletion succeeds, the app clears your local plan, journal, check-ins, chats, Circle, and attribution data. If the server cannot be reached, the app keeps your local records and asks you to try again.

To remove only your conversations from this phone, use Settings → Delete all chats. Signing in with Apple does not currently sync your local data across devices. Copies held in device or service backups follow their respective backup lifecycles.

Request deletion of server-held data

In-app account deletion does not automatically remove separate website contact enquiries, support correspondence, or data processed by AI providers. Email us to request deletion of records we control. We may ask for proportionate information to verify the request and locate your pseudonymous records. Avoid resetting first if you want help identifying an installation.

If you no longer have access to the app, contact us anyway. Tell us you used NewLeaves and whether your request concerns app data, AI chat, or a previous support conversation. Do not include journal entries or sensitive chat content.

What may be retained

Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or security. We will explain any applicable limitations when responding. AI provider records and device backups may be subject to their own policies. See the privacy policy for the current data flows.

What happens after a request

We review which records we can identify and control, confirm any verification needed, and explain the outcome or any retention required by law. We respond within applicable legal time limits. This page does not trigger deletion automatically. If you need a copy of your data, request it before asking for deletion.

Subscriptions

If subscriptions are offered in the future, deleting app data will not cancel a store subscription. Manage it separately through your App Store account. See billing help.
